Absense is a series of graphic intervention on the archival photographs in regard of the Aquagranda that struck Venice on 4 November 1966.

A work that done during the residency in Fabrica, it is not only commemorating the historical event, but also suggesting a new reading of archival photographs as well as the city itself. By choosing the photographs that show the typical street view and famous spots of Venice, the intervention would like to question the relationship between the city and the water. After removing the water, what Venice look like? What does water bring to the city? How does water shape the city?

A set of archive photographs were display outside Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, a series of gif were also published alongside the display.
