This is the cover I painted for the Detroit Kite Festival zine, acrylic + watercolor on cold press paper. It's modeled off of an aerial view of Belle Isle, where the festival was held in Detroit. This was an opportunity to get creative and visual with kites and its culture. I gathered submissions from folks across Michigan (mostly Detroit) to create kite-centric pieces to include in this zine.
