This was a commission to produce a family portrait, mimicking the style of a Pokemon cartoon, to show all the family members engaged in a 'battle' across two frames. As you can see from the development sketches, a lot of work was put in to capturing the individual character and likeness of the family members before rendering. The final hand drawn images use ink and Copic marker pens, the tools of choice for many creators of manga 'fan art' and are both A6 when unframed.
