My original was drawn on 15x20 inch illustration board—a fairly big area and I might've gone overboard with a scan of 900PPI. My intention is to clean it up, finish Chewbacca and the environment then colorize using Affinity Photo or maybe Affinity Designer's Pixel Persona, I haven't decided. Clean up is taking too long. Adjustment Layers only get me so far, requiring painting of nearly every stroke and fill, this is troubling. My original was inked using Rapidographs (remember those?) and maybe it has aged because the ink isn't terribly dense or black. I'll try a technique I haven't used before: the Brush tool with black or white color in Overlay mode—saw that in a video, it might help.
