This logo and the icons have been designed for a website focusing on "Getting Learners Into Direct Employment", GLiDE.
The purpose of the site is to help people with learning, physical and mental disorders to get employment.
The brief for the logo was to design a Type Logo that incorporated the three main parts of the website, the employer, the key worker and the student. The dark blue is to represent the employer, the yellow for the key worker and the light blue for the student. I decided since the main goal is employment, the main part of the logo should be the dark blue, the yellow should be the middle stroke of the 'E' as the key worker would be the mediator between the employer and the student, and of course the light blue the student.
The icons have been designed to be used as buttons along with their name in text to allow ease of use of the site.
