#ProjectScouted was created by the owner of Lee Folkard Photography, Lee Folkard, who has held yearly photography projects in Durban with the first one titled “Project i” in 2010. These projects, consisting of several phases where the girls will be judged on the quality of their images, centre on providing young women a platform to explore their photographic potential, gain exposure, and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience of working with some of the most talented photographers and designers in Durban. Following the enormous hype of #ProjectScouted in 2014, Lee held on to the name.
