This pamphlet I made for my fiancé. She likes the color blue, so that's why I made the cover that way. The pages I made more "parchment" like to accent the "scripty" lettering of the quotes (give it that hand written feel). I tried also to go "script only" and broke up the text via only quotes without the use of graphics. I added a variable standard to the quotes by having some be a dark maroon color and other quotes a dark navy. The cover I built after that of the Book of Mormon and the LDS logo, I used a serif font all lower case for "family" to give the feel of non-threatening, slightly playful, and in a sense youthful, I accented this by surrounding it in more "grown-up" letters. Also I tried to keep everything uniform as to not detract from the "offical" feel as well (it has the official logo of the church so I'd better do a good job of representing them). This is also why I stayed away from flamboyant or too largely variating styles (I didn't want to detract from the words, merely accent them). I'm happy with the final product and would be proud to display this on any church foyer table.
