This is the booklet I created for the RFIDSec2016 conference. This work has been recognised by conference hosts, principals, attendants and invited guests. It was a one-person project.
The RFIDSec2016 conference was held in City University of Hong Kong, which revitalised its official image & visual system (which affects university logo, slogan, colour system, style of interior design and outdoor installations, etc.) and one of the most visible characteristics is that the eye-catching, solemn, elegant yet vivid amaranth fuchsia. As requested by the orgnizers, I widely used this color, a series of adjacent colors derived from it and gradients centered on it, in this set of design.
Sans-serif fonts are used on both English and non-English contents to match with the digital and technological nature of the topic of the conference.
As being discussed by the attendants and written about by the conference's proceedings, one of the characteristics of RFID and its related technologies is that they are vastly utilized in diverse industries, which inspired me to include hexagon as one of the key visual elements, for from the perspective of visual language and symbolic meanings, hexagons are generally linked to the concepts of connectivity, universality, multi-aspect, technology and so on.
