KYLA / RISE
Calligraphy project KYLA was made as an assignment while studying at Vilnius Academy of Arts Kaunas Faculty in 2014. The task was to convey word's “kyla” (meaning rise) expression and meaning through calligraphy.
In search of expressions to best portray the word “kyla”. Experimenting with ink and various calligraphy tools: flex nib, cola pen, bamboo stick, pieces of paper and cardboard.
In this calligraphy poster I tried to recreate a scene of birds chaotically sitting on electricity wires. Used ink and flex nib.
