In collaboration with The Munch Museum in Oslo, Adobe had set up an online contest where they asked to create my own interpretation of one of the famous painting by Edvard Munch - The Scream - with 7 provided Munch paintbrushes developed by a master Photoshop brush maker; Kyle T. Webster.

 

In this concept, I am going to develop a self-portrait in which my shocked facial expression will be placed in front of the "screaming" person, with big and gleaming sun in the background. It gives a shocking depiction that the world is in danger of destruction when the sun is getting closer. The "screaming" person is seen holding on my shoulder while hiding for protection.

 

The result is almost identical and "well-preserved" as the character and composition of the actual "The Scream" painting. With darker and moody colors, it gives strong emotion and contrast with form and texture.

 

I work with Adobe Sketch on my iPad and stylus that gives flexibility on drawing and painting, like how you would paint on an actual canvas in the real time.
