Sears Holiday
TV, Interactive, Social
When we began developing the holiday campaign for major retailer, Sears, the economy was in a downward spiral and consumers were looking closely at their spending habits.

We based the campaign on the simple truth that a gift, when given thoughtfully, can be much more than a gift - it can inspire change. This holiday season would be about the power of a gift, no matter how big or small.

A guitar, for example, might inspire a young person to become a singer/songwriter.
A paint set might lead to a child becoming an artist.

We all have stories of gifts that have changed us in some way and have made a lasting impact on our lives.

This campaign explores those stories, those gifts, and those moments when giving changed a person?s life for the better.
TELEVISION
For the TV spots, we focused on the inspirational stories of a few celebrities and the gifts that changed their lives forever.
Social VIDEOS
We covered 23 unique stories of people whose lives were changed by a gift they were given.
These stories came from both celebrities and non-celebrities. See the rest of them on YouTube.
INTERACTIVE
To unify the idea of gifts and their story-telling power, we created the Wish Monument.

The Sears Wish Monument is a large free-standing, interactive, public art installation that exists both physically and virtually.

Users can send their wishes or stories from their cell phone, a digital kiosk at the monument, or from the website.

Those wishes are then casted into the monument, cascading from the top and filtering in as sparkles of color and light.

People around the monument can hold their hand to the glass and watch as Americas wishes float their way. When one is tapped, it is magnified.

*(please note that this installation was not produced. It was, however, one of my favorite ideas of the campaign and worth sharing.)
