Framed print for exhibition with Studio Upstairs, a therapeutic artistic community in Dalston. Drawn on an iPad with an Apple Pencil.
My friend's dog, Bob Dylan, loves to curl up and hide in himself. Bob Dylan is just his stage name though - he was accidentally renamed by an inept psychologist writing my friend's case notes.
Never tell someone who's freaking out to calm down. It's pretty much guaranteed to make it worse.
Two digital sketches which will be part of a handbound book, "The Book of Hands." It will comprise 12 black-and-white digital sketches of my own hands, and will relate some of my experiences of mental health difficulties through them. I don't shy away from drawing my scars but the accompanying text will focus on what my hands are doing in each picture - I want to show my scars as part of myself, but no more than that.
