MCM / EMO Hannover 2017
MCM is a manufacturing company that designs and manufactures work centers, integrated systems, complete plants and management software. The company has strong italian roots but is projected on an international market. Its reputation is built on reliability, precision, innovation and ability to realize complex customer-tailored projects in the industrial, automotive, energy, oil & gas, aerospace and defense sectors.
Brief
Design MCM stand at EMO 2017, the most important annual world trade fair held in Hannover dedicated to metalworking.
Objective
Create an insight into the MCM company by making the integrated 4.0 design and production process visible to the public.
Challenge
Insert a working MCM machine into the predefined exhibition space.
Solution
The mix of industrial materials and textures such as smooth and corrugated graphite-colored sheet metal, white and corporate blue plexiglass combined with cement-colored flooring link the various areas (factory, business, lounge) seamlessly.
It is a narrative habitat that illustrates the stages of an integrated MCM process through digital signage P.O.I. (Point Of Interest). The components produced by the MCM machine are then exhibited as sculptures in a technologic museum.
