"Blake" the Tiger
Development and progress of one of my more recent works inspired by my favourite William Blake poem (even though the literature student in me knows that was inspired about the industrial revolution...)
One more to the series of world animals. This took a while. Mainly building up the darker tones in the larger areas of the tiger. It all came together when I added the blues...
Initial sketch scared me a little bit. Quite complex things are tigers...
Inked.
Building up the washes of watercolour. At this stage I was a bit sceptical so decided to add some blues to cool it down and give depth to the white fur.
