This was a book I designed for the Edgar Allen-Poe story The Tell Tale heart. I wanted to design a book that linked to the time the story was based in and the dark, sinister storyline. I used parchment paper to create my book as I felt it linked to the timeframe of the story effectively along with giving the paper a nice texture. An element of the paper I wasn’t sure about when I started to use it was the slightly opaque nature of the paper but in the end I feel I managed to make the opaque quality work in my favour. I believe the book did come out well and I was able to create a professional standard to my book which I was happy with.
