Aston Martin DB11

This was a personal project made over a 6 month period shortly after the birth of my daughter. I grabbed a few minutes at a time here and there to do the processing, often returning to images to rework them with new ideas.
The Aston Martin DB11 was the muse and I tried to capture the mystique that surrounds a brand that has become inseparable from the James Bond character. The aim was to make the car a cinematic hero in an spy story. Rather than being a closely linked series, each image was taken as an individual with different lighting, location/backgrounds and processing to reflect the scenes of a movie. Each image combines photography, CGI and considerable processing all done by myself.
Inspiration came from various Bond films and in particular the title sequence for Quantum of Solice by Mk12, the work of Rene Staud on the 2nd generation DBS and the Explosive work of Euro RSCG/Fuel for Jaguar.
