The Lunch Box House features a pre-fabricated light gauge steel framing system which is assembled on site. This frame lays the foundation for a hermetic shell minimizing heating and cooling costs while providing effective protection from the extreme Colorado weather. This dwelling features a 24 panel photovoltaic array, xeriscape and permeable site, passive solar orientation, and an open floor plan.
