In this project I combined digital illustration and hands on printing. I drew a series of old Hollywood inspired portraits and added phrases that used to be popular. I had big 5x5-inch rubber stamps made. With large Bristol board sheets, I used standard ink pads to start, which ended up with a clean, but handmade look. Then I experimented with thicker ink from tubes (the type used in linoleum prints), and with a small hand roller applied the ink to the stamps. These posters ended up with texture and more handmade irregularities, which was the goal.
