Señalética Colegio El Pilar (Madrid)
Proyecto de señalética para el colegio El Pilar de Madrid. El estilo neogótico del colegio y su fuerte ornamentación requería una intervención que se integrara en el espacio sin invadirlo, pero lo suficientemente presente para orientar a los usuarios.
Mi propuesta se basó en los principios de formato único –cuadrado– e inversión de color. El color rojo se reserva para placas direccionales y directorios. El resto de placas de interior –en su mayoría placas identificativas de cada sala– son transparentes con letras rojas que parecen flotar sobre la pared y no interfieren en la estética del edificio.

I was commissioned by the 'Colegio El Pilar' in Madrid to design the wayfinding for their buildings. Due to the school's neo-gothic architecture and it's strong ornamental style, my intervention needed to be in accordance with the space, as well as performing its function of guiding visitors.
My proposal focused on the principles of a special format, and colour inversion. All the plaques are square and configured differently according to their setting. The colour red is reserved for outdoor signs and directories. The rest of the indoor plaques –mostly identification signs at the doors– are transparent with red letters that seem to float on the walls, and not interfere with the aesthetics of the building.
