Collaboration with SIE’s Immersive Technology Group
The Creative Services Group (CSG) Audio team were asked to solve a number of technical challenges in their work on the Joshua Bell Experience.
Firstly, recording music specifically for VR and the intimacy of this particular experience required a different approach, as the viewer needed to feel as though the instruments were right there in front of them.
Secondly, as the viewer is free to move within a certain space, the sound of the instruments had to change realistically as you moved around, just as though you were really there within the amazing acoustic space of Air Studios.
