Mammoth Cave brand identity project


 

Enter the Void


This semester-long project involved creating an identity for a UNESCO World Heritage Site and applying it to a number of deliverables. I chose to feature Mammoth Cave – the world’s most extensive cave system.






Within the depths of caves lies a world of perpetual blackness.



While the invention of artificial lighting allows Mammoth Cave to be explored by sight, the eerie shadows are a constant reminder that the underground is a dark place. Reflecting this, the visual identity is relatively simple and makes frequent use of dark backgrounds.
