2009 Annual Report to Our Community

In 2008, The Carle Foundation began publishing an annual report. The purpose of this report was to share financial and operations information with the local and regional community. The annual report also incorporated the annual community benefit report which outlines the non-profit healthcare organization's donations, support and outreach.

2009 marked the first edition of the annual report that was published primarily on the web. Due to overwhelming popularity of the web-based version of the 2008 edition, 2009 was built for the web with several smaller print pieces working in a supporting role.

Interactive portion of core measures page that allows users to interact with the chart to view each core measure and how Carle compares to state and national averages. This condensed four pages of print charts into a single, simplified interface that put the users in the driver's seat.

Interactive portion of the 'Community Benefit' page which allows users to interact with the chart and major areas of activity to learn more about the good deeds Carle has done in the community. Using Flash to make the chart more interactive added another layer of depth and information to the report and allowed the organization to share additional information that would not have been available in a printed edition.
