This is a project I've been working on for some months. I photographed the background last year in midnight from the top of a mountain as the sun was just touching the horizon before going up again around midnight with the clouds moving over the mountains like slowly flowing water. One of the most beautiful places I have been to.

I had this idea about creating a post office high up in the mountains. I like the idea of a very bureaucratic looking building that delivers the mail by hot air balloons that just flies wherever the wind takes them, I found that contrast interesting. The mountain and background was shot in Senja, Norway last year, the building was shot in Prague and the balloons are smaller scale models shot in studio in the same light. I bought a post horn earlier this year as well that I shot and placed on the top of the building.
