Exploration of type in a circle
Triangles, I love them. There are so many possibilities, facts and challenges while wokring with triangles. Actually there is another shape that's used pretty much right now... the circle.
Inspired by so many plattforms/softwares that use round images for profile/avatar pictures. I didn't want just an image but type should be in there. So I decided to give it a try for and explore this challenge.
At first I started off with my gaming nickname "SUBBERNAUT". I experimented just for fun, which is nearly the best approach for creative work I guess...
After I saw it worked out just fine I wanted my design alter ego in a circle as well, cause circles are great, they have no end...
In the end I must say that my idea wasn't that bad. As bigger images it is ok and legible. But used as real profile pictures on plattforms/communities it showed that they were ofter scaled down to a tiny size where you just can't read nothing at all. Learned new technics/ways to handle type and now have a new experiment to share with you ;)
