In 2007, I participated in an experimental artist exchange program in Oaxaca. In our off time, I wandered the streets of the city, delighted by the colorful buildings and expressive graffiti, most of it political in nature. I became interested in the large swatches of contrasting paint that silenced some of these political protests. Fantasmas is a typeface as well as a record of the ghosts living on Oaxaca's city walls.
