Insta Love
Back in 2014, to give myself a break from my usual process of making illustrations, I decided to abandon
all digital editing, compositing and colouring using any applications on my computer. I referred to this period
in my career as "No Digital" - I worked for 101 days and set out to make a traditionally illustrated piece
every single day.
These illustrations were very lose in style; I wouldn't do much planning or roughs at all and firstly build swatches
of colour using different mediums like marker, watercolour and pencil. I would then draw the subject matter over these blocks of colours and shapes. I made several art tributes to people I like during this project, like Daft Punk,
Tom Hardy and Michael Jackson.
