IT'S A DOG SAVE DOG WORLD.

The purpose of this campaign for the Tygerberg Animal Hospital is to raise awareness about the importance of dog blood donors. The reality is that every day pets just like yours need blood transfusions and for many procedures and emergencies a transfusion is a necessity and can be lifesaving. By becoming an animal blood donor, you are not only allowing your pet to help vets save other pets lives, but also ensuring that one day if anything had to happen to your beloved pet, that they would have that extra fighting chance with blood transfusions. “It’s a dog save dog world” is the payoff line used throughout the campaign and is dramatised through famous humanitarians embodied by dogs. The campaign consists of a press ad, two print ads, direct mail as well as a digital APP.

The press ad is driven by the fact that one dog can save twelve other dog’s lives in one year and is therefore represented by a repainted dog-version of the Last Supper. The press ad will feature in the Cape Times newspaper.
Direct Mail 1of1

The direct mail for this campaign consists of a blood bag that holds a custom made red bandana, creating the illusion that the material is the blood. Printed on the bandana is the phrase, “It’s a dog save dog world” which runs throughout the campaign. The bandanas will be handed out to customers at the Tygerberg Animal Hospital as well as mailed to the loyal customers of TAH that aren’t at the Hospital in the two months in which the campaign will roll out. The purpose of the bandanas are to allow your dog to create awareness about the need for dog donors and to spread the word to fellow dog lovers in style!
