Bb . Lock aims to secure open prams or strollers in place, providing safety for both the child and the passengers on-board the bus. In current Singapore context, parents are required to fold their prams before boarding the public bus, which is very inconvenient. Parents will be allowed to push their child in an open pram or stroller up public buses in the future. However, an unsecured opened pram or stroller will be unsafe for the child in the pram or stroller, as well as for other commuters on-board the bus.

A simple instructional graphic is provided for a step-by-step guide on the use of the product. The design will not be solely for the main target audience. As the product will not always be in use by them, it is also designed for the comfort of other commuters. Hence, in addition of it being a securing system for strollers, the product can also be used as a bum rest.

By securing the stroller in place, it will ensure that the stroller does not fling forward or side wards during an emergency or accident. Moreover, this securing system keeps the child facing the rear of the bus, increasing safety for the children during an emergency or accident. Thus keeping the child and commuters safe.
The interior of public buses has a distinct simple and functional look to it, giving the cabin of the public buses a sense of spaciousness. Using simplicity as the general design language to guide the project, the product’s aesthetics was inspired by clean forms, bold lines and uninterrupted surfaces.
