The collection of lamps is based on the shape of sweets. The idea of the project is to study the basic types of human emotions. In my opinion human emotions is the thing that makes the basis of life, it can motivate, or on the contrary can limit the development of the personality and life in general. Virtually any action that a person commits, in fact, is directed at getting him some or other emotions, usually positive, which implies getting some kind of pleasure from the any process. Most people avoid those emotions that are usually considered negative, and this doesn't reflect the fullness of life in all its manifestations. With my project, I would like to show that any feelings such as anger, fear, despair are not negative in nature, but also could carry beauty, development and lead to a fuller and more conscious understanding of life. The collection consists of five lamps of different colors, each of them reflects this or that emotion. Lamps are made of polycarbonate. Presented in two versions: a desk and a pendant lamp. The design of the lamp is demountable, which makes it possible to compose various combinations on the basis of emotional perception.
Project made for the contest LEXUS DESIGN AWARD 2018. I tried to reflect the theme of the project in how different human feelings and emotions can CO-exist with each other and expressed it in the design of the lamp. I believe that control over emotions and their correct interpretation and understanding will undoubtedly make the life of each person more conscious and positive, which in my opinion reflects the main idea of the contest.
