In the specialty coffee market, producers, buyers and baristas prove and analyze coffee samples through cupping. With a special spoon the drink is sucked and this generates a characteristic slurp. The Sabiá Cupping World Championship was created by Supernova Coffee Roasters and Moka Club not to evaluate coffees, but to award the loudest and the most beautiful cupping slurp.
I created the visual identity of the event based on the bird shaped whistle toy, witch was very popular in children's parties in the 90s in Brazil. I screen printed posters, scarves and T-shirts, all very colorful and playful :)
This funny idea was able to engage and bring together the different participants of the coffee cycle in the same event, which took place during the International Coffee Week 2016 in Belo Horizonte, MG.
