When I was growing up, I used to collect toads and keep them safe in a hermit crab cage (without the crabs of course). I would give each of them names and feed them flies and ants. I even drew pictures and wrote stories about all my toad pets! Now, as an adult, I'm a little bit of a germaphobe when it comes to the idea of holding a toad. However, the childhood memories will always inspire me to incorporate these adorable little critters into my designs!
