Aulani is a Disney Resort in Waikiki, rich with Asian Pacific culture and history. Disney wanted a microsite to represent the spirit of aloha while staying true to Disney’s brand and high bar for storytelling. As Design Lead, I concepted and pitched ideas to Disney's cultural team. Together, we created an interactive storybook that told the story of Aulani while staying respectful and true to Hawaiian culture and art. I developed the branding and aesthetic, designed the site UX, illustrated everything, animated the interactive challenges and transitions, choreographed the parallax scrolling, produced the assets, and QA'd the microsite site for a successful launch.
