DOLLAR SHAVE CLUB MICROSITE
This project involved developing a humorous idea Dollar Shave Club came to us with. Capitalizing on the 2012 election year, they wanted to celebrate past presidents, but in a way which had never been done before: Representing them as hipsters. I collaborated with the client on the campaign branding, contest structure and website’s aesthetic/UX. I also directed an illustrator on a series of printable posters representing each president - They included easter eggs specific to each president's reputation and notoriety. Finally I led the design and production of the downloadable posters and website. Although this campaign had a small budget, the earned media was huge: It was featured in Communication Arts, Thrillist and a ton of other popular outlets.
