Tell me to investigate a city, and I'll bring back nuggets of the coolest stuff to do.

Travel/Tours/Hospitality/Local Flavor

I've been fortunate to write about a ton of different topics during my long career, including items about interesting towns, landmarks and local resources. No matter if I'm penning for publications, agencies or in-house teams, my goal always is to show off my surroundings and help content consumers exclaim "I NEED to do that!"

Below, I've included commentary and links (when available) for a few of my favorite projects.
City tour video for Saint Louis University. I scouted locations, cast the host, wrote the host's script, directed the videographers, put together the footage script and selected the music -- all while maintaining the university's "Be a Billiken" brand voice. Learn more about the video.
Print and digital feature about fun in Greenville, Illinois for Riverfront Times' special summer guide issue. Link to full story.
Sponsored digital content for Alive magazine, part of a strategic digital package that also included print advertising, event promotion, a giveaway, social media buildup and e-blasts. Link to full story.
Blog post from my old Tumblr about what I chow down on in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Link to full story.
Website copy for the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. Learn more about the agency project.
Website copy for Drury Hotels (shown here for Paducah).
Slideshow listicle for AroundMe, one of Gateway Media's travel verticals. This was part of the pre-SXSW coverage that I had coordinated among all verticals.  Learn more about my SXSW coverage for this and other Gateway Media websites.
Daily live SXSW coverage for Oola, Gateway Media's food vertical. Learn more about my SXSW coverage for this and other Gateway Media websites.
Print and digital feature for the Ladue News about a neighborhood kitchen goods shop. Link to full story: http://bit.ly/2mPhBKL
Blog post for Riverfront Times about amazing St. Louis music festivals. Link to full story: http://bit.ly/2tlt38g
Blog post for Riverfront Times about one of St. Louis' many great record shops. Includes an interview with Vintage Vinyl staff. Link to full story.
The items below are just a few of my many contributions for the Riverfront Times' "Best of St. Louis" issues over the years. The paper's hottest annual issue features staff and reader picks in retail, attractions, outdoor life, personalities and more. No bylines shown, but the editor can verify that these are mine.
