Logo Design for a friendly Motorcycle club

Client requested a bold, modern logo with a clear association to motorcycles.
Intended application of this graphic is to embroider it onto the back of protective biker jackets for cosmetic purposes.

The Client presented a digitally rendered concept idea to reduce design time considerably. Just a rough mash-up of a few design elements arranged in a way that I can understand clearly enough to elevate to a professional level.
First order of business was to decide on a style for the name itself. I came up with something and matched the idea of the barrel with the handlebars to make a decent proposal.
After asking for something bolder, I shared with him legacyofdefeat.com, a great site for gritty, handmade fonts at a reasonable price. He picked his two favourites and let me decide which one to proceed with.
After some conversation, the customer and I found a composition that paired a sense of stubborn pride with a comedic twist, executed in a shockingly unconventional way.
