2016
A fact about me is, I've always been bad at sports. I tried playing basketball in my teens but I really wasn't good at all. At least I had the badass sneakers and the attitude to go with them. Luckily I found many other things I'm good at.
2016 was the year when many people around my life turned 30. I had turned 30 the previous year, but it was still a topic that worried many in my social circles. At the time a record by Queens of the Stone Age came out, and it closed with a song called "All downhill from here", the phrase became popular at the time and I used to say it—jokingly and a little sarcastically—welcoming people who crossed the line and turned 30. It's al downhill from here friends, it's all downhill.
2014
My girlfriend an I adopted a cat. It was the first cat in both of our lives—we grew up with dogs. I remember I was scared of holding him the first time—even though he was two months old—because I had never held a cat in my life and I thought he was going to bite and scratch me. He is a sociable and vocal cat, I've learned so much from him, I love him. We have grown to understand each other; there's a deep connection between us.
2013
A year when I started renting a house near a park. A park where people went to run, to do yoga, to walk their dogs. Boy scouts gathered every weekend, and many activities such as artisanal and cultural fairs, open air concerts, movie projections, and more took place in that park. A couple of my unemployed/freelance months were spent in that house and I met a lot of interesting people at the time.
Lost work modified between 2012-2014
Some things prove to be very difficult to finish. Some are done before you even realize it. This is one of those cases. More people than you think care about you. Be kind and always smile.
2011
I'm reworking this piece sometime in the near future. I wish I had dedicated more time to improve upon it. Its really easy to loose sight of where you're going. You get tangled in all the stuff that doesn't matter.
2010
A commissioned piece, the guy was a fan of back to the future and I was obsessed with characters with multiple limbs, so I combined both. The last illustration done before moving to the big city.
2009
A French Conductor, a screenprint done at the basement of my parents house with improvised equipment. The first screenprint made as a gift for my girlfriend announcing her birthday party.
Thank you for your time.
Especially if you read all the crazy stories.
