Defining Men's Jewellery | Information Graphic
This project that began in mid June was based around the idea of designing an information graphic that would explain to viewers, in a humours and over-exaggerated manner, the kind of “persona traits” that men can often be associated with, based on the jewellery that they wear.
The type of jewellery chosen for the graphic would be based on that of what is traditionally worn around arms and wrists. This would mean making humorous remarks about watches, bracelets, and even hand-crafted accessories that are often worn by men of certain stereotypes, ages, or social classes.
Overall, the visual style of the poster is loosely based on the look of a classic and sophisticated jewellery magazine, often aimed at wealthy people who like have products presented to them in a more formal and respectable fashion.
The mockup is designed to look as if the information graphic itself were that of a poster that could be displayed in jewellery shop windows, on the walls of clothing shops, or even one that could be kept as a collectable from a magazine.
