LEXUS SA BRAND TV

A series of ads designed to entrench the Lexus brand in the minds of South African consumers. Ads are based on true stories that occurred in the initial design and manufacture of the origiinal Lexus IS200.

The first ad below shows some of the most interesting and stand out moments one would encounter on a test journey of 4.7 million kilometres. The other two ads refer to the chief designer's obsession not to want to add weight - even 10grams to the Lexus as he wanted to keep the car light in weight, and thereby faster and more fuel efficient.
The other refers to the the obsession to keep the interior of the car as quiet as possible.
This ad for the Lexus ISF is based on the theory that at speed time slows down - and replicates a test that scientists did in 1971 where one clock was placed on a plane, and the other on the ground - to determine if the clock at speed moved slower than a clock at rest.
In the Lexus ISF this was designed to prove that in a super fast car, the driver would have more time to enjoy it, even if it meant 0.001 seconds more.

The Lexus RX450h is a performance hybrid, suggesting that it can combine the best of both worlds - an electric engine and a petrol engine providing both efficiency and power.
The complexity of a hybrid system working in harmony with a petrol engine finds a beautiful analogy in nature, where a series of events occurs in harmony starting with a barren roadside, a drop of rain and a bee - that results in an environment is turned into a carpet of daisies.
