About 65 % of the Asian population eats rice as a main dish.

Therefore, rice cooker is an important kitchen appliance. It is located on the table and around the sink. It takes up a lot of space. Based on the user experience, we suggest a rice cooker with advanced forms and functions in the kitchen.

The kitchen turned into a space that people wanted to show, not just cooking.

It also has efficient and smart functions. We proposed and designed a premium lifestyle for future users.

Idea Solution

Each of the ideas that went through each step became clear. It was simply cleaned out of a drawer that was pulled out of the drawer. Eventually, this was a drawer structure, which became a built-in rice cooker for users.

Sketch Development

We have worked in various ways in the sketches. Depending on the utilization of each product, a solution was shown in drawers and lid. However, we have played the role of acting as a built-in home appliance rather than an image of an existing rice cooker. Also, I thought about the main parts of the rice cooker and the pressure structure of the rice cooker. It's a sketch of the idea of thinking about getting rid of steam together with the use of steam.

Inspiration of Shape

For optimal results,

we were inspired by various geometries and designs in various shapes, handles, vents, and interiors.

We've got Hiding, Hidden Cooker

The rice cooker is hidden and the value has risen.

We converted the existing rice cooker into a built-in format, which expanded the user's flow and space on the cooking area. It is also easier to use a rice cooker because it is placed at a lower level than the top of the table. It was designed to match into the kitchen space by reducing the independent and extravagant design of existing products.

Pressure Structure

The recipe for rice cooker begins with a drawer.

The pressure of the internal components is applied simultaneously by pressing the rice cooker and pressing the cooking button.

Inside the rice cooker is a tightly blocked structure for strong pressure. Also, there is room for moisture draining from steam, and it is collected in the left storage compartment.
