Concept
From the collection of Grimm’s Fairy tales, comes the intriguing story of twelve brothers and one sister. It may start of dark, but it’s many twists and turns lead you to an ending that is rather happy, for a Grimm tale. This particular story leads you through many different settings, so there seemed to be a unique opportunity to capitalize on perspective in order to play up the surroundings while still portraying the emotion of the scene and characters.

Audience
Although the copy for Grimm tales can often be long and involved, the intended audience is still children. In most cases, these children have such long stories read to them. As such, the illustrations are quite detailed so that children can get lost in the scenes while an adult reads.

Challenges
I purposefully choose a perspective heavy concept, because I knew it would be a challenge for me to execute. An unexpected challenge was planning out the dynamics and personalities of the twelve brothers. I felt it was important they each have an identifiable personality that should translate into their character design.
