Malbec
This project came to be due to the launch of a new wine bar, and comprised naming, branding, logo design, website design, and the creation of a booking app.
The concept of "wine bar", where customers can purchase wine by the glass, is unusual in the city of São Paulo, where the business would open. So the biggest challenge here was to communicate the uniqueness of this place - the opportunity to taste more than one type of wine on the same night. The app would not only offer the possibility to book a table, but also to book or buy combo deals for tasting.
I came up with the name Malbec - a grape variety original from the south of France - as a more charming and more marketable alternative than the initial name suggested by the business owners, which consisted of their initials (MAAWPEC). The logo emphasizes the wine glass - the main icon of this business - and features an elegant blend of colors that symbolizes the drink.
