Within the Armadillo project it was our will to improve and replace the classic desk tape dispenser. After extensively studying all different types of existing desk tape dispensers and their manner of use in office spaces, we developed a brand-new product which is completely different to any current model on the market.

Armadillo provides several advantages compared to traditional desk dispensers, as it is extremely lightweight (only 85 grams) and hence easy to transport. We built the Armadillo in a way that one can easily draw long stripes with high precision and without twisting the tape. It is a one-handed device that works both on horizontal and vertical surfaces.

All formats of tape rolls, like with small or big inner diameter can be loaded into the Armadillo due to the double adaptor.

Using the Armadillo is easy and intuitive, like a natural movement. After putting the desired length of tape on the based material, you slightly lift the back of the dispenser, pressing the transparent tab a blade appears below to  cut the tape.

The shape of the Armadillo is the result of studying several models to design the optimal ergonomic device that is easy to handle and adapts to the form of the hand. In terms of effectively reducing the used materials, the design was developed to avoid material dissipation. The result is an innovated and shapely device.
