Street Art

Giants monsters and dancing hands getting big

After more than 4 years spend in Asia and particularly Cambodia, I'm getting deeper inspiration from my travels. My research about Hindu & Buddhist brings me new perspective and opportunity to trip in Nepal and India. I felt in love with the local culture of masks, some are inspired from the same stories I can see everyday in South East Asia culture, but turned in an other way. I tried to orient the murals and graphical works I did this year with the idea to do a cultural syncretism with these two differents point of view, so close and strangely far as well.
But before all that, the beginning of a mural trip in the region must start with the representation of Ganesha, lord of the luck (that sometimes help once on the top of a shaky bamboo scaffolding).
Almost all of the pictures presented here have an anchor in several local cultures around South and S.E. Asia. It is always interesting to paint a myth and story from a neighbor country, reactions of viewers changes according to their own cultural point of view.
