Grindmother: Age of Destruction

A banda canadense Grindmother respira a brutalidade do metal. Conduzida por uma vocalista de 68 anos, Grindmother canta principalmente sobre o impacto destrutivo do ser humano na natureza. O projeto, de cunho estritamente acadêmico, foi feito na tentativa de afastar a identidade da banda dos usuais "galhos ilegíveis" da cena. A principal referência foram os filmes de horror dos anos 80, onde cada qual tinha seu próprio logotipo. Junto com a direção de arte foi proposta a nova identidade, incluindo logotipia.
Observação: Esse projeto foi idealizado durante a disciplina de design editorial, sob a mentoria do Professor Noel Fernandez, onde a proposta foi escolhermos uma banda para propormos um re-design da marca principal e um projeto editorial para o booklet. Ele não possui nenhum fim lucrativo.

The canadian band Grindmother breathes the brutality of the metal. Led by a 68-year-old singer, Grindmother sings mostly about the destructive impact of humans on nature. The project, strictly academic, was made in an attempt to remove the band's identity from the usual "illegible twigs" of the scene. The main reference was the horror films of the 80s, each of which had its own logo. Along with the direction of art was proposed the new identity, including logotipia.
Note: This project was conceived during the editorial design discipline, under the mentorship of Professor Noel Fernandez in Brasilia, Brazil. The main objective was to choose a band we love, propose a re-design of the brand and an editorial project for the booklet. The project is absolutely non-profit.
