2017 Jesse White Tumblers Try-Outs
For over 30 years, Perry Mandera has functioned as the president and founder of The Custom Companies, Inc., marking him as one of Chicago’s most prominent entrepreneurs. Besides being an innovator in the transportation industry, Perry Mandera supports several Chicago groups, including the Jesse White Tumblers (JWT), a gymnastics tumbling group that aims to provide at-risk children with a safe place to learn key life skills, while keeping them away from activities that might place them in jeopardy.

The 2017 try-outs take place on October 7th between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Jesse White Community Center located at 412 West Chicago Avenue. Open to all students between the ages of 6 and 16 who have some prior tumbling experience, the try-outs will help JWT form the basis of its 2018 tumbling team.

Students must bring the report cards they received in June 2017, while home-schooled students must provide documentation, on paper with the official City of Chicago letterhead, that proves their educational status. All JWT participants must maintain an average grade of “C” across all subjects, with those falling below this standard required to provide proof of attendance to tutoring classes to continue their participation.
