SHS Yearbook 2012-2013

My latest project was just recently finished after a day of sketching and another week of work in illustration creating this piece. This is my entry to my school's yearbook cover contest where the winner gets to be on the cover and name inside as well. I decided to use my schools colors of black and orange along with different shades of grey and white to give it a nice Noire look i was going for. My inspiration for this was just to experiment with symmetry and my abstract, geometrical style that i really enjoy drawing a lot. I wanted to have fun with it and give something to my school they wouldn't forget since If I win the contest, my cover will be my senior year's cover. The text was also completely custom drawn for this piece, bold but simple. All in all, I'm very pleased with the end result and have my fingers crossed to win, wish me luck!
