The Cleveland Racers Baseball Team is a rebranding of the Cleveland Indians. This rebranding is warranted because the Indians’ name is taking as offensive to Native Americans. The name Racers is take from the Ohio State Reptile, the Black Racer. It’s also a fast and agile animal that is portrayed well by baseball players. The branding and logo features a snake and a crest logo with some traditional sports imagery. The branding has been done to include some elements from the traditional Cleveland Indians designs. The colour red has been kept in much of the branding so that people can easily connect the the two names. Typefaces and artwork has been revamped to attract a younger generation of fans.
