What It’s Like To Be a Technician
Educational / Documentary Video, Internal Communication
As Safelite continues to grow, hiring is in full swing, including for AutoGlass Technicians. These associates are the “face” of the company and much time & effort are put into the hiring & training of these assets. Retention numbers are currently not optimal. One of the causes for this rate of attrition seems to be a lack of a true and accurate understanding of what the job entails.
The Human Resources Department, which handles internal communications, had already shot and edited a video that did not meet the executive team’s expectations.
I was brought on by the new HR Director to work with the rest of the existing team, enact some new, basic creative processes, and quickly produce a video that authentically showcases all aspects of the job – the good and bad – to be used primarily as an attraction piece and on-boarding tool.
