Awareness campaign – University project

Schizophrenia is mainly about hallucinations; hearing voices or seeing things like an animal talking to you,
a fantasy creature, or a demon trying to convince you to do something. These kinds of situations are often
presented to us in films and storybooks, which have become the only places where they don’t seem abnormal
or scary. I used the visual language of an old story book to tell stories about how a Schizophrenic person
might experience everyday situations, with the goal to reduce stigma about Schizophrenia.

The campaign includes a public snapchat story where people with schizophrenia
get the change to show others what they see or experience.
