Bornancini Award - 3D printed trophy
The award is named after José Carlos Mário Bornancini, an architect who has worked on developing products for large Brazilian companies since the 1950s and has left a significant legacy to the identity of national design.

I was invited by apdesign (association of design professionals of Rio Grande do Sul) to design the trophy for the 6th edition of the Bornancini award. The trophy is based on the continuous movement of two spheres in a distorted torus, symbolizing the dialogue opened by the association in a complex and constantly changing universe.

From the beginning the trophy was designed to be 3D printed, in order to show the details and possibilities of the FDM 3D printing process offered by Protosul.
